The mechanism

How it works

APAG P is a Class I device that heats the patient's own plasma preparation to a set temperature and duration, chosen from four fixed presets, one free preset, or a manual 30 to 90 degree range across 1 minute to 6 hours, in eight heating cells sized at 16 mm and four at 11 mm.

Why this system

A different protocol class from APAG, not a newer model

APAG P runs a wider 30 to 90 degree range, from 1 minute up to 6 hours.

Four fixed presets, plus one free

37 degrees Celsius for 3 hours, 37 degrees Celsius for 6 hours, 85 degrees Celsius for 12 minutes, 42 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes, and one preset left free.

Practice value

  • APAG P's multi-hour programmes place it in a different protocol class from APAG: the two are not sold as a base model and an upgrade of the same device.
