How it works
CONTOUR delivers Celluma's three fixed wavelengths, blue at 465 nm, red at 640 nm and near-infrared at 880 nm, through a multi-panel system built from a patented flexible panel that takes the shape of the area it treats.
For body contouring, the red and near-infrared wavelengths target and activate fat cells and open temporary pores in the fat cell membranes. The lipids that leak out are then cleared through the body's normal metabolic processes, and the fat cells shrink. Body contouring uses a different power density and algorithm than the WRINKLES mode, and the fat in the face has a different structure from fat stored elsewhere in the body: Celluma does not use the CONTOUR mode on the face, and directs the WRINKLES or ACNE mode there instead.

How quickly will I see results with the Contour mode?
Results vary by individual and depend on factors such as treatment consistency and lifestyle habits. Most people see results after one session, and cumulative treatments give the best results. In an observational study Celluma cites, over 4 weeks, participants saw more than a 2-inch reduction in waist circumference and 1 inch off each thigh, and reported decreased back and knee pain.
How long do results last, and how often should CONTOUR be used?
Everybody is different, so results and treatment duration vary from person to person. Celluma's official protocol is 3 times a week for 4 weeks. Most users report results after just one treatment, and regular use may be needed to maintain them.
Can I run multiple treatment modes in one session?
No. The system runs multiple panels within a single 30-minute treatment program, but different modes (wrinkles, pain, contour and so on) run consecutively, not at the same time.
