How it works
Cryo 6 needs only ambient air, which it filters and cools down to -30 degrees Celsius, with no consumables and a standby mode that keeps energy costs down. Special nozzles direct the cold air precisely to the treatment area, at a constant temperature, calibrated pressure and minimal humidity, which Zimmer states protects the skin from freezing and cold burns. A defrosting function with software-controlled monitoring of the defrost water, and an air filter that only needs vacuuming, keep the device running smoothly.

How does Cryo 6 differ from Cryo 7?
Zimmer publishes the same clinical role for both, and both cool the air to -30°C across nine blower levels at a device weight of 60 kg. Cryo 7 adds a 10 inch touch display that stores up to 100 favourite programmes, an optional 3 metre treatment tube and the optional Pro Therapy Hose, which starts, stops and adjusts the fan levels from the handpiece. Zimmer's own line for Cryo 6 is "The perfect system for cooling the skin at -30°C", and it states more than 50,000 of them sold.
Does a clinic need Cryo 6 if it already runs a laser?
Any clinic already running a laser is a fit for the cooling role Cryo 6 performs.
What accessories does Zimmer publish for Cryo 6?
An adjustable 3-joint treatment tube arm for positioning support, a lightweight Neo treatment tube, adapters and clips to secure Cryo 6 to the handpiece of a laser device, and a lightweight woven treatment tube for added stability.
