How it works
FACE delivers Celluma's three fixed wavelengths, blue at 465 nm, red at 640 nm and near-infrared at 880 nm, through a patented flexible panel that takes the shape of the area it treats.
Celluma describes the underlying mechanism as photobiomodulation: LED light energy triggers a photobiochemical reaction, similar to plant photosynthesis, that Celluma states has been shown to enhance cellular metabolism, accelerate repair of damaged skin cells and stimulate collagen production. The panel carries 236 LEDs plus 4 green indicator lights and is used within about 1 inch of the skin; which wavelengths fire and at what dose depend on the treatment program selected, not a single fixed setting.

What does FACE treat?

Is there a consumable for FACE?

How does FACE compare to HOME, the other small two-mode device?
FACE treats aging skin and acne; HOME treats aging skin and pain. Both are small, two-mode Celluma devices.
Does the smaller size make FACE less effective than Celluma's larger panels?
No. Celluma states all its devices, FACE included, deliver the same light-energy output per square centimeter and per treatment program.
How should the treatment area be prepared?
Skin should be free of clothing, makeup or anything else that could deflect the light, with FACE held close to the area being treated.
Can FACE travel outside the US?
Yes. FACE is lightweight, portable and battery-powered, and ships with an international adapter kit; Celluma advises checking the correct power source and electrical input for the destination.
