How it works
Morenova is DirexGroup's large-area shockwave platform, developed after the company's earlier linear shockwave system, which treated longer tissue segments at higher energy density. Morenova extends that approach to large tissue areas at variable depths, through customizable, hands-free applicators. DirexGroup states that the shockwaves work by inducing angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels, promoting new tissue growth and improving local hemodynamics. For chronic pelvic pain specifically, the company describes an added effect: the shockwaves stimulate nerves in the treated area to temporarily interrupt pain signals.
