How it works
RESTORE delivers Celluma's three fixed wavelengths, blue at 465 nm, red at 640 nm and near-infrared at 880 nm, through a patented flexible panel that takes the shape of the area it treats.
For male and female pattern hair loss, Celluma describes RESTORE as increasing hair thickness, extending the growth phase and reducing the catagen stage of the hair cycle. The device switches between three treatment modes, HAIR, Wrinkles and ACHES & PAINS, and Celluma recommends the ACHES & PAINS mode for deeper muscle injuries.

Are there contraindications for RESTORE?
Yes. Celluma lists six general contraindications: do not use over the breast or stomach of a pregnant or breastfeeding person; do not use on infants or children; do not use if the patient or administrator has epilepsy or a history of seizures; avoid use when the patient is taking cortisone injections or any other kind of steroid injection; avoid use if the patient is using photosensitizing drugs; and do not perform LED therapy over a known cancer tumor or metastasis. For hair growth specifically, Celluma states the treatment has not been tested and may not be effective for female Ludwig-Savin classification III (advanced), male androgenetic alopecia at Norwood Hamilton I, II, Va, VI or VII, or androgenetic alopecia with Fitzpatrick skin type V-VI.
