How it works
SPORT delivers Celluma's three fixed wavelengths, blue at 465 nm, red at 640 nm and near-infrared at 880 nm, through a patented flexible panel that takes the shape of the area it treats.
That light travels as photons at those wavelengths, absorbed by photoacceptors in the treated tissue's mitochondria; the resulting rise in ATP powers cell repair. In the red and near-infrared range, the light also triggers the release of nitric oxide, which widens blood vessels and increases the flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients to the area; that rise in oxygen and nutrients increases ATP production, which activates pain-relieving pathways. The panel's shape-taking design lets it wrap around joints and sore muscles, the spine, hips, shoulders, knees, wrists, elbows and ankles among them, held close to the skin to keep light absorption high.

What's the difference between SPORT and HOME?
Both treat pain with the same light energy output per square centimetre and the same effectiveness. SPORT covers a larger surface area with more LEDs. Celluma describes SPORT as the same device as PRO, but running only the single pain mode; PRO ships with three modes, for wrinkles, acne and pain.
