How it works
ZWave Pro treats through radial shock waves, mechanical pressure waves made of a pulse pressure wave and a smaller negative pressure wave, transmitted with high precision through the device's 39 mm applicator head into the tissue. Zimmer states this improves circulation and lymph drainage, strengthens connective tissue, promotes collagen regeneration, and accelerates cavitation in fat reduction. The handpiece is ergonomic for one-handed operation, and Zimmer's soft shot technology absorbs shock so treatment stays comfortable while still transferring a high degree of energy.

ZWave Pro and Gentle Pro share a modality, shockwave, but not a warranty and not an indication. Zimmer builds them as two different devices for two different jobs.
Does ZWave Pro treat erectile dysfunction?
No. That is Gentle Pro, a separate Zimmer device. ZWave Pro is Zimmer's shockwave device for skin tightening and body contouring.
What does the ZWave Pro warranty cover?

Is ZWave Pro the same technology as ZTone?
No. ZWave Pro works by shockwave. ZTone works by electromagnetic muscle stimulation. Both are body-contouring devices in the Zimmer range, through different mechanisms.

Zimmer links two documents from the ZWave Pro page: a case study collection titled "Studies DE + EN," published by Zimmer MedizinSysteme in September 2015, and a paper published in Photobiomodulation, Photomedicine, and Laser Surgery, authored by Giuseppe Scarcella, MD, published online 17 November 2025. Their content was not reviewed beyond these citations.
